Fly Into Spring Kite Festival

April 18 - 19, 2025

Hosted by Kitty Hawk Kites, the Flying Into Spring and Easter EGGstravangza takes place at Jockey’s Ridge State Park in Nags Head. This great festival is family-friendly and free to the public. The Easter Bunny is going to be on-site for photos and the annual Jockey’s Ridge Crossing Easter Egg Hunt will be a blast! Continuing to honor National Kite Month, kids (and adults) will also love watching the huge, colorful kites fly across Jockey’s Ridge ranging in 30-feet to 100-feet in size. Kids are encouraged to bring an Easter basket for treats!

Hop into the Gardens! The beauty of spring at the Gardens sets the stage for this fun-filled family event. Children and families may follow a map of the Gardens’ paths to gather eggs at designated “egg stations” and enjoy contests, games, and vendors on the Great Lawn.

10 AM: Upon arrival – pick up a map to enjoy gathering eggs at “egg stations” along the Gardens’ one-way designated path.
10:30 AM: EASTER BUNNY ARRIVES!
10 AM – 2 PM: Enjoy live music and games on the Great Lawn!
12 PM – 12:30 PM: Easter Hat & Bonnet Contest!
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Egg Races!
