Colington Pizza -Kill Devil Hills
Colington Pizza is locally owned - and when they say "local", they mean Colington Harbour local. They live, shop, play and raise their kids there. They are proud to serve their community a good slice of pie with a smile. Colington Pizza is eco-friendly. They recycle 90% of our waste and we use 100% compostable and recyclable take-out boxes and beverage containers.
It's a favorite of locals, especially those of us who live back in the harbor. It is only open for dinner 4-10. They have great pizzas! One of my favorites is The Gump! I don't remember everything that comes on it but it has shrimp and it's really good. They also have an excellent Spinach salad with grilled chicken that is delicious.

Vilai Thai Kitchen- Kitty Hawk
Vilai Thai Kitchen features classic thai cuisine from their family's long history of culinary tradition enjoyed by generations of Outer Banks Visitors and Locals alike.
"Three Flavored fish. I like the whole fish fried crispy. It comes with the bones in it and you have to pick the meat out but its particularly flavorful when cooked bone in skin on. Also, the three flavor sauce I like a combination sweet and savory spice all in one and really compliments the fish and vegetables that come with the fish. If you don't like the idea of the bones in the fish, try it on soft shell crab or they will do it with shrimp if you ask." -Bob Leavitt-CFO, Seaside Vacations
Arthurs Oyster Bar-KillDevil Hills
Awful Arthur's Oyster Bar, home of the happy oyster. For over 30 years the Oyster has been their world. They serve by the peck, pound and dozen, raw or steamed to perfection. Kicked back casual, down to earth friendly staff, and reasonable prices make Awful Arthur's Oyster Bar the all-time favorite of locals and travelers alike.
"Hands down, Awful Arthurs! I know they close for a few months, but they're open part of the off season. It's my favorite because I can get my clams straight from the steamer to my table in no time, and they are hot and fresh. A few dozen clams and a glass of wine, upstairs where I can see the ocean, is my go-to dinner out." -Kristin Tayman-Maintenance Supervisor, Seaside Vacations
Mama Kwans-Kill Devil Hills
Mama Kwans Serving the Outer Banks for the past 16 years, with their very own twist on food from around the world - and around the block. Mama Kwan's menu is designed to cover all types of tastes, so even the pickiest member of your party will find something they enjoy. Providing a laid back, fun and offer a casual dining experience for the entire family.
"Mama Kwans is a good spot to eat. They have a laid back atmosphere, you always see a familiar local face, and they usually have games on the TVs by the bar. Mahi Fish Tacos (blackened) and the Garbage plate are my two go to meals. Both plates have so many unique flavors going on and the sauce for the tacos is so good you can drink it. Thai money bags and Wings are also good apps to try." -Chris Spellman-Business Development, Seaside Vacations.
The Roadside Bar & Grill-Duck
The Roadside Bar and Grill has been serving top notch meals and hand crafted cocktails since 1995. Located in the heart of Duck in one of the village's original cottages.
"The Roadside Bar & Grill in Duck. It's a family owned, cool, cozy little restaurant in an old house. It's got an open kitchen and a backyard bar where they have live music (as long as weather will permit) and just really good food. Their grits are cheesy amazingness. Their pimento cheese is homemade and rich. Just really good food." -Lori Smith-General Manager, Seaside Vacations
