We're celebrating the Outer Banks Home Builder Association's annual Parade of Homes and this year, EVERYONE'S INVITED! The Outer Banks Parade of Homes experience on Columbus Day weekend will be back to in-person tours during Open Hours of Thursday-Saturday from 10:00 am-6:00 pm. This means that during these three days, you will have exclusive access to some of the most innovative, exciting homes on the Outer Banks.
As a tour visitor, you will have access to the masterful builder's information and are encouraged to reach out and discuss your homebuilding plans and dreams!
Ticketing for the Parade of Homes
For the Parade of Homes, Ticket Bud is introducing a streamlined and convenient ticketing process:
- Online Ticket Sales:
- Available starting September 1st through Ticket Bud’s online platform.
- Price: $20 each.
- Payment: Credit card only for a hassle-free and efficient purchase.
- Online Ticket Voucher: Redeemable at the door of any house for a paper ticket to be used for the remainder of the tour. - Cash Payment Option:
- Pay with cash at the door of the first home you visit.
- Flexibility for spontaneous visits or traditional payment preferences.
- Tickets also available for purchase at any home entrance on the day of the event. - Voting and Ticket Use:
- Upon checking in at the first home, receive a paper ticket that serves as your all-access pass.
- At the final home you visit, use the back of your paper ticket to vote for your favorite home:
- Circle your choice on the back of the ticket.
- Drop your completed ticket into the ticket turn-in box located in the kitchen of every home.
This ticketing system ensures a smooth, enjoyable tour of the latest in home design and architecture while allowing you to participate in selecting the most impressive home.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Will I be able to tour the homes this year?
- The 2024 Parade of Homes will have 16 houses and 2 commercial properties to tour "In Person". You can tour the properties beginning October 9th and they will be available for viewing online Virtually after the Parade is over on October 12th. The Virtual Tours will remain active on our website for at least one year.
- Does it cost anything to tour the homes and where do I purchase tickets?
- Tickets are available online beginning September 1st or you can purchase them at the entrance to any of the homes. Ticket costs will be $20 this year and you can use a credit card to purchase online.
- Will I be able to vote for my favorite houses in the Peoples' Choice Awards?
- Yes, voting is open only for the dates between October 9th - 11th. Once voting is closed, the winners will be announced on the website and FaceBook page.
- How are the homes categorized?
- To make the voting and judging process fair, the homes are grouped by the retail cost to build the house only excluding the lot and pool. Retail costs to purchase the home or a home similar to are shown online and in the Parade Magazine.
- Is there a Parade of Homes Magazine?
- There will be a printed version of the magazine this year available free of charge at the homes. There is an online version of the magazine with all of the information for the homes, advertisements for Associate Member companies, and builder contact information. This virtual magazine will look just like the printed magazines.
