Date: May 30 is opening night, but performances run Monday-Saturday, through August 26, 2023.

Cost: Kids 5 and under are FREE, children 6-12 are half price, and adult tickets start at $25 - discounts available in certain instances

About: It's back! The 87th year of Roanoke Island Historical Association's production of The Lost Colony is hitting the stage May 30, 2024! This play was first staged in 1937 and is the nation's longest-running outdoor symphonic drama. Filled with intense battles, beautiful indigenous dances, and tears of both joy and sadness, this production tells the story of 117 English men, women and children from our history.
This is a huge production with over 120 actors, designers, technicians, and volunteers who all came together in the Spring to begin preparing for this summer's incredible season. Come to The Lost Colony and find yourself engulfed in this drama, not only through its compelling story but sit right in the middle of the action with the show taking place on three sides of you! Not only that, the stage is over 3 times larger than most Broadway stages in New York City! Talk about an experience! No visit to the Outer Banks is complete without a visit to this unforgettable performance.

Tickets obtained from other unauthorized sources may be stolen, counterfeit or invalid due to payment issues and will not be honored. The Lost Colony Ticket Office, E-Tix and Kitty Hawk Kites are the only OFFICIAL TICKETING PROVIDERS for events at The Lost Colony. Tickets purchased from other sources are often greatly inflated in price and are not eligible for assistance if tickets are ever lost or stolen or if the event is canceled or rescheduled. Who are the discounts available to?
Discounts available for AAA, Military and Seniors in Premier and Prime seating areas as well as groups with 15 or more people.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Seats cannot be guaranteed if you don't reserve them ahead of time. It is advised to order tickets a week in advance.
How can I buy my tickets?

What if it rains?
The Lost Colony is an outdoor production, and typically, no decision about the performance is made prior to 7:45 PM. The show will go on in light rain, but if it is canceled, you may call 252-473-6000 to recieve tickets for another 2022 performance for free.
