How much do yoga classes normally cost in OBX?
While prices per class will vary from studio to studio, you can expect the cost for a class to range between $15 and $25. If you're planning to go several times during the week, many places offer passes or discounts when you purchase multiple sessions, so be sure to ask.
Can I attend a yoga class if I've never been before?
Of course! Most yoga classes are beginner-friendly, and the ones that aren't will usually let you know when you register! Licensed yoga instructors are trained in accomodations and variations of poses, meaning that they will have suggestions or alternate positions to help you during your practice. Don't be afraid to try something new and be sure to communicate with your instructor if you have any questions or concerns. Yoga can be life-changing for many people. But as always, check with your doctor before participating in exercise if you are unsure.
Do I need to bring my own equipment (yoga mat, box, etc.) to class?
You can if you want! But it's not a requirement. If you brought your yoga equipment with you on vacation, feel free to bring with you whatever will make your practice the most comfortable. But if you didn't bring your yoga mat, you can still attend class during your Outer Banks vacation. Most studios will have supplies for your practice but you can also call ahead and ask to be sure.
What should I wear to a yoga class?
Be sure to wear something comfortable. Whether you go for loose-fitting bottoms or something tight and stretchy, just make sure that you wear something that you can easily exercise in. Consider whether you want to wear socks or go barefoot and be sure to bring a water bottle.
