At the June 29 "Dave Matthews Tribute Band" concert at the Koru Beach Klub, Seaside Vacations launched its partnership with Hatteras Island Meals as part of Seaside Cares. Seaside Vacations is excited to partner with Koru Beach Klub as we embrace support of the local Hatteras Island community and work towards food security on the Outer Banks. We're looking forward to tabling alongside Hatteras Island Meals every Thursday throughout the Koru Beach Klub Concert Series where they will be selling raffle tickets as part of their annual fundraiser and we'll be giving folks the chance to sign up for swag prizes and a grand prize at the end of the summer!
Hatteras Island Meals Fundraiser
This is the first year that Hatteras Island Meals is offering "Early Bird" tickets for their fundraiser raffle, which offers prizes donated by nearly 70 local businesses. And this season, Seaside Vacations is showing its support for the local Hatteras Island community by working alongside Hatteras Island Meals on Wheels at each of the concerts. Thursday night, our COO, Lori Smith, and Hatteras Island General Manager, Holly Austin, presented Hatteras Island Meals with a $1,000 check as part of our Seaside Cares program.
“Hatteras Island Meals is fulfilling a need that no one else is providing,” said Smith, “So we’re glad we can be here and help with something that is close to our home.”
We are honored to support Hatteras Island Meals on Wheels' mission for supporting food security on Hatteras Island and believe that our continued presence on Hatteras Island will allow us to continue to support the local community while bringing our passion for quality property management service to the island.
Seaside Cares
Seaside Cares is a charitable giving campaign within Seaside Vacations that contributes to the enrichment of the Outer Banks and other areas in the fields of community, relief & food security, the environment, and veteran support.
"One of our core values at Seaside Vacations is Community," says Seaside Vacations COO, Lori Smith. "We have an entire charitable giving component called Seaside Cares. Through Seaside Cares we sponsor donations to the Beach Food Pantry, in the past we've donated to the Methodist Mens Club here on Hatteras Island, participated in Hurricane relief efforts on Hatteras Island and in other NC coastal communities, sponsored 2 fresh water wells for communities in Africa and built a school in Nicaragua through the Sonder project. And...we are very proud to make this $1000 donation to Hatteras Island Meals to show our appreciation and support for the good work this organization does for the wonderful folks of Hatteras Island. May this be the first of many!"
New Seaside Vacations Office
Supporting our local community is also a huge part of civic activism for Seaside Vacations. Through multiple initiatives, we aim to improve the well-being of our community. With the recent opening of our Avon Office (as of May 2023), Seaside Vacations is committed to demonstrating support for the local community as we continue to offer both full property management services as well as limited-service property management solutions for Hatteras Island property owners. Hatteras Island General Manager, Holly Austin, believes that our creative property management options are part of what make Seaside Vacations so special.
"One thing we’re bringing to the island, which we don’t believe anyone else is doing right now, is limited service contracts,” says Austin. “So, we can provide housekeeping and maintenance for homes that don’t need the renter side of it.”
We're looking forward to continuing our partnership with Hatteras Island Meals and other Hatteras Island organizations in the future.
