Schooner Ridge Community

This centrally located Duck community is perfect for the vacationer that wants to be able to walk to the best of what the Outer Banks has to offer. Schooner Ridge is within walking distance of the beach, Duck Town Park, the boardwalk, and multiple shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues, ensuring an amazing vacation experience for the entire family. Enjoy gorgeous views of the beach while also taking advantage of the Outdoor and Indoor Pools, Tennis and Racquetball Courts, and a Fitness Center because being on vacation doesn’t mean you have to give up your lifestyle goals! A stay at Schooner Ridge guarantees a relaxing immersion into the wonders of the Northern Outer Banks.

Rules & Regulations

-Guests must check in at the clubhouse to retrieve their wristbands, rental brochure and parking pass

-Clubhouse Hours Mem-Labor Day: M-F 8:30am-7:30pm, Sat-Sun 10:00am-4:00pm; Off-season M-F 9:00am-6:00pm, Sat-Sun 10:00am-4:00pm (hours subject to change)

-Indoor pool is open year-round

-No glass bottles, no smoking, and no pets permitted in the pool enclosures

-Clubhouse, fitness rooms, tennis courts, pickleball & playground are open year-round

-There is a vendor that rolls all trash and recycle cans back to the house after pick-up.  (Monday & Friday-May-September)

-RVs, trailers and boats are NOT permitted within the community, unless they fit COMPLETELY in the garage or carport

-Parking passes are required Memorial Day-Labor Day when parking on common property. Towing Enforced.  They should be picked up at the clubhouse

-Wristbands are required to be worn when using ALL amenities, including accessing the beach via the walkway.

-Tents are NOT permitted within 50 ft. on either side of the beach access.  Also, per Town of Duck ordinance, no items are to be left on the beach overnight.  Items are subject to removal.

-Parking on the street is prohibited

-Golf carts are to be parked in a designated parking space, display a parking pass, and must be driven by a licensed driver.  Carts parked on the grass or road side are subject to towing. 

-Large trash items left on the street will not be removed by the trash vendor and we will contact you, the rental company, to arrange disposal.

-Personal belongings, including beach equipment, are not to be left on the beach walkway.  Items left are subject to removal by maintenance.

-There are dog bag dispensers throughout the community.  Used dog bags should be discarded of properly.

- Outdoor lights and speakers should be turned off by 11:00pm, per Town of Duck ordinance
