Frisco Native American Museum
Step back in time and discover the beauty and creativity of the earliest inhabitants of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, while also learning of Native American cultures across the United States. Located in a building with a section dating back to 1880, the Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center contains a nationally recognized collection featuring art, pottery, weavings, baskets, weaponry, jewelry, stonework, and MUCH more!
In addition to presenting a gift shop filled with beautiful and unusual items, the museum book store also offers treasures for all ages. Fun family programs are held weekly during summer months and are free with museum admission. A modest fee is charged for fall and winter workshops. which include pine needle basket making, dream catchers, Native cooking, and more!
The museum is open every day from 10:30 am—5 pm, except Mondays, and 10:00AM - 5:00PM starting in April. A beautiful nature trail with winding paths and examples of early Native village life is open year-round during daytime hours. (Please confirm open hours before visiting.)
Admission is extremely reasonable:
