No visit to the Outer Banks is complete without getting a first-hand view of one of our most precious treasures - the Corolla Wild Horses. Bob's Wild Horse Tours, owned and operated by local resident Bob White, began in 1996 when his father gave some visitors a tour of the 4WD beach area. Today, Bob's Wild Horse Tours uses open-air safari trucks designed to give riders great views of the beach and of course - the horses! In order to protect the horses, it is illegal to get within 50 feet so taking a professional tour is the best way to watch these majestic beasts without accidentally impeding on their territory. Tours are perfect for families and kids of all ages and if you love wild animals, you'll love observing these historic creatures roaming the beach!
What If I Need to Reschedule or Cancel?
Bob's Wild Horse Tours operates on a 24-hour cancellation notice policy. If you are unable to make your reservation but do not cancel 24-hours in advance, you will be responsible for your ticket purchase.
What If There is Inclement Weather?
The weather on the Outer Banks can be very quick to change. Rain in the forecast does not necessarily mean the tour will be canceled. Bob's Wild Hours Tours advises that in the event of inclement weather or potential inclement weather to please call the office prior to your tour for an official decision.
Bob's Wild Horse Tours Reminders
- It is recommended that you book your tour in advance - tours fill up quickly, especially during the summer months.
- Additional tickets for children can be purchased online with adult ticket purchase. There is no age restriction for children but they may not ride on your lap - please bring a car seat if they normally sit in a car seat.
- It is a standard (and greatly appreciated practice) to tip the driver of the tour.
